From my life’s learnings, experiences, and countless conversations with wise and learned people, one truth stands out crystal clear — our lifespan is just a tiny speck in the vast ocean of time the universe has witnessed. “If the universe’s age was a 24-hour day, your entire life would be less than a blink.”
Out of the 60–80 years most of us are gifted, the first 25–30 years are mostly about growing up — childhood, education, and figuring out where we belong in the world. That leaves us with just 30–40 years in which we can make impactful decisions that truly shape our lives and the lives of others.
Now, if we break down this “available” time further — into sleeping, eating, commuting, and daily necessities — nearly 50% of it slips away. That means our truly productive time boils down to just 15–20 years.
And even within these years, life doesn’t run in a straight line. We face ups and downs, unexpected detours, and challenges that can take years to overcome. When we put all of this into perspective, it becomes obvious — the window that we have to create meaningful impact is far smaller than it seems.
So, the real question is — how do we use these precious, productive years?
Do we spend them worrying about the past, or do we make conscious, deliberate choices that bring us closer to our goals, dreams, and purpose?
Every day counts. Every decision counts. Every moment we let pass without intention is a moment we can never reclaim.
Life will always have distractions. But if we learn to truly value our time, we can live with fewer regrets and more fulfilment.

My mantra is simple:
When time is not on your side — slow down the speed of doing, but increase the speed of thinking.
When time is on your side — run full throttle and execute the plans you’ve already crafted during the slower phase.
This rhythm has helped me maximize productivity in the limited, yet precious, fruitful years we get in this life cycle.
So, make the most of them. Create. Love. Grow. Serve. Because time, once gone, never returns. Spend it like it’s the most precious currency you’ll ever own.
